...es due to occasional understaffing or higher expectations from senior resources. Pay is not good as compared to most other companies in the area. There is limited or no scope for self-development or new initiatives.

Zero job security. They can do hire and fire anytime even within 2 weeks. Too much internal and zonal politics. Also Viavi has acquired multiple small and medium scale industries since last 2-3 years. Those small scale industries are now totally part of viavi directly but the internal management of those indsutries are still same. An outsider interviewee will not be able to understand actually for which department and business unit he/she is going to attend interview because except HR and offcial processed (which will be displayed as Viavi only) nothing is changed for technical/work perspective for those small scale indsustries. Interviewee will not even be able to detect what was the old name and work culture of those small scale industries/business unit until the day he/she joins. After joining he/she will be trapped because each of those small scale industries are worst in work culture and the total management power is getting misused by the ex-owners of those business units. They don't bother anything about the employee future and using the micro management power they will do hire and fire within even 1-2 weeks short duration also. During fire they will never accept any of their own faults and as usual will try to dump all blame to the employee only by force. Also internal politics is too high and toxic work atmosphere between most of the co-workers. Be very careful before joining this organization.

Few things are flexible like working hours. No restriction on internet.

Career wise not much progress can be made. Many are old technologies. Resistance of using new technology. Bad Politics. Very less transparency. Cost cautions for petty things but not for big things.

At certain point Felt doing same again and again. After letting out of organisation it's really hard for me to meet with interview. Because of lack of tech stack. You would face bit difficult in point of work life balance

Previous team culture was good before they recently changed India head. It's micro management in crm team now.

Micro management and crm manager wants to create his own dependency. He wants to keep business knowledge with him as job security. Wrong person driving team.
