Mentorship from my immediate Head of the department, teaching pedagogy, competition; student curiosity, motivation, aptitude, respect, engagement, participation; logistics, extracurricular activities, event management.

Dislikes

Nepotism, corruption, face saving by top brass, no rule of law, misuse of power and position, misuse of public money, lack of professionalism, no accountability, no openness, no transparency; false promotion of credentials, expertise, events; less focus on teaching, research, more focus on wasting time, resources; no formal feedback system in place to evaluate performance of Assistant Professors, Associate Professors, Professors, Directors, Deans and other administrators.

It was a good experience overall, the work culture is good and one gets opportunities to grow and explore a number of things

Dislikes

The job security is an issue, you can get an opportunity to teach only twice in a year for a period of three months each which keeps you unemployed for remaining time of the year

No Professionalism in any sector, people are hired on the bases of nepotism and political influence and then they jeopardize the career of students and scholars, might is right policy works in the university. scholars are harrassed and nobody is accountable.
