The United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women, also known as UN Women, is a United Nations entity working for the empowerment and focus areas: Ending Violence against women, Promoting Women's Leadership and Participation, National Planning and Budgeting, Women's Economic Empowerment, Peace and Security.It has been very gratifying experience working with UN Women.

Dislikes

Now UN Women is in the process of moving its office to UN house at Lodhi Estate. There is very few seats. Job security is very poor.

Likes

UN Women in South Sudan has the greatest opportunity to search and learn about the plight of women in that country and is well-positioned to advocate for programs to address women's rights and equitable distribution of resources to address the glaring need. Its mandate is clear, its status is respected and its voice can be heard

Dislikes

The organization had a hostile work environment that was full of conflict among top leadership with a visible lack of transparency for the time I was engaged as a consultant. In regard to recruitment processes, provision of financial and material support for fieldwork, technical supervision, and fair treatment of employees. Most operations or decisions are based on personal interest and fame of the leadership but not in any systematic operation. The agenda of the organization remains at a low scale

They seem to be thinking themselves only saviour of women in the world. But there is a need of understanding that women live in community and everyone in the community dont violate women's rights. There are some who support women and recognize their contribution in the society and like their freedom too. It is for whose cause women survives in the community. Most of the time its the male counterparts who promote women and support them. We need to recognize their role in supporting women too. All men are not violators and all are not rapists. We need to think in this line
