New Job, Higher Pay, Now I’m Feeling Awkward

I’ve been at my new job for about six months now, and everything’s been going great! I’m getting positive feedback from my manager, and I get along well with the team. The thing is, when I started, my salary offer ended up being much higher than the initial number discussed during my interview. I didn’t negotiate and just accepted the offer. So, fast forward to happy hour with the team, and the topic of salary comes up. I, unfortunately, shared what I’m making, and let’s just say... it didn’t sit well with the others who have been on the team for years and make less than me. One word to describe "pathetic". Its full of politics, worst management, even one of the director is blacklisted by his previous employer because he started his company from (business & clients) from his previous employer and started his own company. They are simply dependent on HCL to through some pieces.

I was a management trainee, hired from campus recruitment however when i got in, i was asked to work in vendor management team, that the stupit. these guys think a computer science graduate will work in vendor management, finding partners and wasting their time in running behind people. The shock happened when with in few days of our joining we were not called in a company outing, why because we were new to the system. I don't know much about the company however i feel they did not have any HR policies and it was more like a jugad.
