Over three months, three senior employees were fired, under the guise of "performance reviews." However, conversations with former employees reveal a toxic pattern; The Jurni employs a strategy of disposable hiring. Senior employees are brought in on a need basis and fired when plans change. 2) Nepotism Disguised as Strategy The CEO Priyam, introduces Sonjoy Phukan, the former COO of the Bank of Singapore as her strategic advisor, giving The Jurni a false sense of credibility! However, the fact that Sonjoy is her HUSBAND undermines the company's credibility completely. 3) Tall Claims that Are a Complete Lie For a brand that boasts about being India's largest newsletter, The Jurni is absolutely unknown. Ask around and you'll see that no one recognises the brand, let alone considers it significant in the media space. 4) One-Woman Show Gone Wrong The Jurni is run according to Priyam's whims and assumptions about people - check-in with former employees and they'll tell you how she functions.
