Job Security now a days is less. There has been layoffs recently. It depends on your skill if on boom then can get good pay. Work life balance is good if you are not in shift. 8 hrs working , extra pay is conveyance and shift allowance which pays 1.5 L yearly more without tax, grade 10 (Exp 8yrs+ )Above has more benefits. Not much things to learn new. appraisal is nearly good each year, work from home is advantage for female only in night shifts.

Dislikes

Night shifts are more, job security has been a problem as 2017 saw many layoffs, managers are stubborn.

Management, PL encashment policies. (They give only basics for PL but every company give gross for leave encashment) Managers plays same games to kick off the employees before the appraisal. Appraisal cycles moved from march to October to save 8 months of incremented money that they had to give. HR takes the feedbacks in exit interview but don’t think at all later on. (i have doubt whether they take it or not) Poor design of codes and they ask you to fix the meaningless bug in very less time. No good features, they have only BUGS. Good politics. Don’t stay here for more than 2 years.

Teradata is a good company except for India. It has terrible management and growth, also the hike in salary is very little. Payscale in Teradata is completely unfair. Freshers are earning more than 5 years experienced and well skilled, reliable employees (which by the way help solve highly critical customer issues). By Fresher I mean campus hire from so-called premier institutes. Don't assume I am talking about Ph.D. freshers with great skills.

Dislikes

Growth in salary is terrible. Also, you can see people working for more than 10 years with good skills and not even team lead. Why would one stay at a company when there is no growth in salary or position. Also, management is poor, no fun activity at their cost. Not even team lunch. There is an option in this feedback to 'select the facilities provided at Teradata Corporation' and I am able to select only two, out of one is health insurance.

After working in Teradata tech only, it's very difficult to find a job outside Teradata as it's not a technology in demand in the current market. No Teradata jobs!

Best team to work with, depends on team to team. Fully remote and competitive salary.

Dislikes

Not much of skill development. Joining as an intern is risky as they might not convert you to full time as company is struggling financially.
