After the demise of Ratan Tata, Tata Steel is no longer a place to work anymore. The Stupid HR policy, Forced Retirements, reduced number of leaves are the new normal. The only good part was the OPD medical facility which be discontinued from April onwards as well.

Likes

Lateral are getting higher salary with less experience, While trainees are getting so less salary. I started at 7900 basic salaries and now after 6 years, I get 15000 basic pay. Not a good hike in salary.

Job security is good, if you don't work hard then you don't get good ratings but job is secure.

Location is good. Tata brand.

Dislikes

There is a whole list. Heavy corporate politics, nepotism at its peak, benefits are just an illusion, management is highly unprofessional, compensation is industry lowest, CTC is flawed, employees' overall development is zero, and many many more. I got a call for an interview where they told me they have a budget of 14lac initially I agreed to get call for an interview I also got selected 3 days ago they call me asking for my salary expectations I told them 15.5 lac (10% increment in my existing salary) they told me they will talk to their manager and get me back by next day but even after 2 days I didn't heard from them what should I do? Should I call them back or wait or they already rejected me?
