Salary is not as per industry standards. And salary of 2 employees on a same position differs by a large amount. Management policies have shifted from good to worse and now worst over the years. Doesn't seem like it belongs to Tata Group.

They have many employee benefit policy like longer maternity leaves, flexible work hours after maternity, employees benevolent fund, etc. Work life balance is also good.

Dislikes

No mentor for your job specific role. Very less pay and increments. Lot of favouritism and politics. Incompetent workers being down motivation. Promotions are the worst, there is a waiting of minimum 3 yrs in a specific role to apply for a promotion, which is then followed by interviews and then you get a minimal increment on that. Annual bonus structure is horrible.

Dislikes

Salary at supervisor, executive and middle management level is low. Rating and performance appraisal is biased and is dependent on God, you are not rated on the basis of your work, talent and efforts. I will not suggest anyone to start their career with Tata Power-DDL. It will choke all your dreams and desires.
