New Job, Higher Pay, Now I’m Feeling Awkward

I’ve been at my new job for about six months now, and everything’s been going great! I’m getting positive feedback from my manager, and I get along well with the team. The thing is, when I started, my salary offer ended up being much higher than the initial number discussed during my interview. I didn’t negotiate and just accepted the offer. So, fast forward to happy hour with the team, and the topic of salary comes up. I, unfortunately, shared what I’m making, and let’s just say... it didn’t sit well with the others who have been on the team for years and make less than me. They weren’t mad at me, but now I’m feeling a bit uncomfortable and unsure how to handle this situation. Has anyone had something like this happen? How did you deal with it? Let’s chat!

Don't even think about joining this company not even if you are in desperate need of money. One of the worst companies I have ever seen. Salary never comes, not even after 2-3 months they always keep on giving false hopes and the CEO is the world's biggest IDIOT I have ever seen. Even a roadside beggar has more ethics than him.

Everything I dislike. Mainly the CEO. Actually he doesn't have the status to be called as CEO. This idiot is total fraud. He inform some consultant company and that company contacted me to reach him for the course Metaverse/ Blockchain. This guy doesn't know anything about metaverse or blockchain, and started this scam to get money. A fee cost is 1.5L but as I got referred from the consultant company, it was 60K. I asked for installment payment but not accepted. It's okay so I paid the fees within a week. Later the false CEO who doesn't have qualification to be CEO Vignesh Selvaraj, took just 4 classes for 2 months that too it's not like a class, just software installation was done. He was just telling silly reasons like medical issues, was busy with work though he doesn't have work. Because of these kind habits and me joining the company date is nearby, I rechecked with some people from linkedIn. One girl complaint to him that I had asked her. Because of this he told he lost his trust on me so no job and will return the money within Jan 30. Still now I didn't receive my money back. Don't spoil your life by giving your life to this kind of Mofcuker CEO.
