Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

Likes

Good work environment and culture. Teammates are supportive and the management is transparent. There is a huge area for resting, relaxing and chilling. Company policies are good, appraisals are fair and they give good salary hike and bonus every 6 months.

Dislikes

On the job training sessions are sometimes more than required. Salary is decent but career growth needs to be a bit faster
