Sungard AS Is a hidden gem. To be very honest the pay-scale is among the best and class leading.. compared to what we call as a Standard. Work culture here promotes transparency and opinions from very grass-root level are taken into consideration. Management is very approachable for any issues and concerns that an employee may have. HR and other work policies are also mostly employee friendly.

Dislikes

Sungard as company is struggling since last couple of years to stay up within the market. Due to which whole leadership team is changed in last 2 years.. this has led to multiple re-structuring of internal teams. This has affected some individuals, but again it was all due to high level business decisions.

Work life Balance, Transport, policies are good.

Dislikes

Politics, no growth, Job not secure, Salary is bad no balance in structure for levels. No management support as things keep changing with new management.

I joined Sungard in Dec 2014 as a business analyst over the period of 6.5 years of my tenure with Sungard I changed 3 profiles and was promoted twice. Ever since I joined Sungard I have seen wave after wave of layoffs, started with laying off employees based out of US and Europe and filling up the same positions in India for the simple reason that the business wasn’t doing good and this was more of a cost cutting exercise. It came to a point where Sungard could not afford employees based out of India either and thus Indian staffers too were laid off. The layoffs still happen and it’s always the last in first out. So if you are seeking new job opportunities I would strongly recommend against it unless it’s a desperate situation.

Job security it’s a major let down. Plus they don’t pay as much either.

Best company to work with. Compensation is good. Getting regular increment on time. Work life balance no is good.

Dislikes

No dislikes as such. But, company needs to grow in faster phase and bring new portfolios on existing deliverables.

The only thing was good in the company is salary but the management is really very bad.

Company has filed bankruptcy in US and no direction from executive management, company has started firing people's with out any reason, I will definitely not recommend this company to my dear once.
