No Salary Discussion in My Appraisal — What’s Your Experience?
In my appraisal meeting, they didn’t ask or discuss my expectations about my salary or hike percentage. The entire discussion was only about feedback and performance review. After the meeting, I asked why they didn’t allow me to share my expectations or reveal my hike numbers. They told me that the hike numbers would be decided only by the owner and then they would inform me. I feel an appraisal meeting should include open discussion about both performance and future expectations. What are your thoughts? Does this happen in your company too?

Company is having some innovative technology formulations tie ups with some multinational companies but marketing strategy was poor, its weak in competitive market. Management assumption is very good expectation about brands in the market but in reality it was poor, some places nobody knows about company brands, and need to spend more time in the field only, difficulty to work life balance. Company specially preferring to take freshers, because they can recruits on lower packages. But lot of burdens goes to front line mangers, because freshers are freshers only , we need to train them in multiple ways. One fresher to become a matured executive its easily takes six months period, then only we can expect result from him. But management was not baring till that period.

Compensation is poor, and growth is slow, The work pressure is very high. Sometimes I have to work 10-12 hours straight in a day. poor respect and recognition,from immediate managers end. Most of the faced egos , many more.....

No Job security. Always use to cut down salary without any advance notice. HR policy is very poor. They provide salary some time in cheque then what is the role of salary account opening. They are always misusing their power towords employees. In this organization you can't think about career growth coz after six months of working they start mentally harassed and pressurise to leave organization other wise they will terminate you . Even they are taking lots of field work with Product Manager also. Many product manager leave the organization because of lots of field work i. E. 18 days in a month. They doing fake commitment to their customers also. They doing fake commitment to doctors that they will do CRM but after getting business from doctors they not full fill their commitments. Lots of people loss their job in this organization. Even in covid period they don't show any humanity towards their employee . Only 25% salary they release in covid. If you want to destroy your career they definitely join this company. As a medical rep please don't join this company.
