Updated Review: There were a total of 3 rounds of interviews. It is extremely concerning that when I told them my expected salary on the very first round the HR said salary will not be a problem. However, on the second round, they said for the first 6 months I will be getting the same salary as my current organization post which, based on my performance, an increment will be given. I even agreed to that and they verbally confirmed my selection. Then few days later all of a sudden they asked me not to resign from my current workplace as they said they did not have clarity regarding my onboarding and went silent. After a month, Mr. Anindya Bhattacharjee called me for another round of interview and I even went, there was another senior person with him. They asked me to reiterate my salary expectations, post which asked me to provide payslips, providing which they went silent again. After few days I called Mr. Bhattacharjee to follow up on the appointment letter, and then he said the actual budget for the role was 18k per month (severely below what I was already getting). It is extremely concerning how come they are providing a fresher-level salary to a senior-level role and considering that the job requires travel and being stationed out of town, and secondly why they initially wanted to rush my onboarding (even claimed that salary is not an issue) then later on backed out. Because of them, I had informed my current workplace that I wanted to discontinue work there and now even my current job is at risk. Because of these red flags, I don't think I will want to join this company even they offer me a position later on because my experience with them so far has been very dicey.
