New Job, Higher Pay, Now I’m Feeling Awkward

I’ve been at my new job for about six months now, and everything’s been going great! I’m getting positive feedback from my manager, and I get along well with the team. The thing is, when I started, my salary offer ended up being much higher than the initial number discussed during my interview. I didn’t negotiate and just accepted the offer. So, fast forward to happy hour with the team, and the topic of salary comes up. I, unfortunately, shared what I’m making, and let’s just say... it didn’t sit well with the others who have been on the team for years and make less than me. There is complete misuse of authority in this organization. Incompetent people with high salary are Director's favourite due to their people pleasing attitude and hard working people won't get recognition in this organization. Earlier this organization was flourishing and good for skill development but now it has become a place where skill development is 0 due to incompetent seniors. So, if you want to develop your skills as professionals never ever join Sumedha Group.

The Mumbai office situated at Trade World Tower, Kamala Mills compound, Lower Parel is highly unprofessional with absolutely no work life balance. Excessive misuse of designation and authority at Vice Presidential level. No support or appreciation for hard work. Regular screaming and shouting sessions by seniors supported by the Mumbai head, leading to resignation of majority employees in the past year.
