...You have decent hike & promotion frequency is 2yrs. Bonus is best in industries. They make it transparent by including the least variable pay in your offer letter as mark and you get generally 25% extra than your least mark. One has multiple options to move internally and the process is not much politically influenced. SCB offers you stability but align with market updates. You ll not get feel of working in outdated systems/applications.

Dislikes

Team outing is very less and most of time not sponsored by company. Cultural events like celebration not there anymore. No Diwali gifts kind of stuffs. No employee appreciation apart from the yearly performance bonus & hike.

1.There is no work life balance 2.Bull work 3.Under Market salary 4.There is no fun activity 5.there will be a stretch/extended support without any pay.. Eg: i will login by 12pm and will logout by 2am.. Started like this after covid and till 2023 feb it is happening 6.short of resource and managing with few staffs 7.Poor retention policy on experienced staff

Standard Chartered has the best work culture, where your team members are ready to train you, and if you have as doubts they will clear them perfectly. Great place to start after you have a year or two of experience.

Dislikes

The only dislike I had was payments, the salary was too low and promotions and appraisals were not on time.

I liked job security in SCB. Staff and managers are empathetic most of the time. Very punctual in terms of salary credit.

Dislikes

Work load can be super hectic most of the time. Rating average in terms of work life balance. Few managers are micro managers.

Likes

Work environment, work-life balance, teammates and medical benefits offered are really good. Career growth & salary can be good only if one is mobile. There is stagnation in Kolkata but if one is open to move out of Kolkata there will be better opportunities. There is no job security.
