Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

This is marketing company. Work on life and non life insurance. Currently sreema insurance consultancy pvt ltd a corporate agent of Reliance Nippon Life Insurance, SBI Life Insurance and Future Generali Life Insurance. I like companies marketing and operational strategies.

Dislikes

Salary structure is low and growth also very slow. I also dislike the HRD strategies of this company. Transfer as per personal interest of head of hr. There are no any fixed period for transfer. Promotion and transfer is not depend on skill only depend head of HR.
