New Job, Higher Pay, Now I’m Feeling Awkward
I’ve been at my new job for about six months now, and everything’s been going great! I’m getting positive feedback from my manager, and I get along well with the team. The thing is, when I started, my salary offer ended up being much higher than the initial number discussed during my interview. I didn’t negotiate and just accepted the offer. So, fast forward to happy hour with the team, and the topic of salary comes up. I, unfortunately, shared what I’m making, and let’s just say... it didn’t sit well with the others who have been on the team for years and make less than me. They weren’t mad at me, but now I’m feeling a bit uncomfortable and unsure how to handle this situation. Has anyone had something like this happen? How did you deal with it? Let’s chat!

The club is bustling with back-to-back events. However most of the staff is quite experienced and comfortable, providing an excellent opportunity to explore new strategies. Since there is absolutely zero budget for marketing and advertising, you will need to engage in barter, offering a valuable learning experience for your professional development. The owner is very supportive and gives you a free hand to implement your own strategies.

Dislikes

Due to the age of the staff, many are more involved in office politics than in working for the company. Several staff Memeber’s are not deserving of their positions but still occupy them. The CEO’s decision-making capabilities are lacking, leading the owner to close down many branches. The HR manager is not well educated and is unaware of market trends, still attempting to recruit teams under 12000/month. There have been no appraisals for the past 5 years.
