Everything purely depends on our manager and work.work presser will be more at release times.If we are under right manager it will be good other wise there is no recognition for our hard work.

Learning wise it is ok. Salary wise it is poor. They tell like they will give 50% hike for every year. But initially they pay 2.8 and after hike you get 4.2 .But in software your starting pay would be around 3.6 but including training. But in this company they you have to undergo training of 6 months in Veda to get a offer of soctronics. Even in appraisals like in 3 projects if you get (M+,M+,M) at the end you get only M instead of M+ because of policy in soctronics they use floor mechanism to calculate rating instead of ceil.

Dislikes

Don't join embedded if you have offer (some mnc)of software. If there is no embedded project then they will move to software domain . Better to join embedded company in banglore if the location is not a problem otherwise you have to work in soctronics for 3 years and you have to pay 4 lakh if you break it. Everybody don't get Qualcomm or intel after working in soctronics .It is a myth.

Everything is very good at Soctronics but the problem occurs when it comes to compensation. The compensation is very poor if a fresher is joining the company. It will take 6 years to come to the market level salary structure. Other than that everything is perfect. There is lot of learning curve, friendly atmosphere with colleagues and other higher authorities etc.

Only thing is compensation provided to a fresher.

To start your career in VLSI, definitely Soctronics is the best. Though initially you feel negative about work culture, in career prospective it worth.

Salary hikes are effective only after your bond gets completed and there will be new policies that comes always.
