Dislikes

Company is good, but there is no growth in terms of role. Poor Management decisions on salary, last moment revoking of salary increments. Management wants quality work but in terms of pay they wanted employees to slog and not to raise questions over less pay. Management is happy to hire new employee at higher salary then existing employee but they do not to prefer to retain existing talent. Pune office is more or less BPO/KPO where no one cares about employee rather than work is completed in time

...gement is transparent. There is a huge cafeteria and gaming arcade for chilling. Company policies are good, appraisals are fair and they give good salary hike and bonus every year.

There is a lot of politics and the management doesn’t address our issues. Salary is decent but career growth is slow. There is a bond of 2 years before which you cannot resign. On the job training is not given to new joinees.

People needs to understand there is difference in culture of a product company and a non product company (IT, Banking). The product company such as Smith & Nephew gives you the opportunity to Learn, Grow and take the complete ownership of the designated responsibilities. A SOP driven person may not like the idea of complete accountability; therefore may dislike the company. After being part of the company for 3 years, i can proudly say i had the ample opportunities and learnings for my career wellbeing. I would certainly recommend Smith & Nephew as a great workplace. :)

Company has recently made internal restructuring that would improve on ERP, automation, controls and line of business. There was certain challenges which are being address right now. Moving in a right direction.

Its a product based company which focuses main on product but not much on its IT. Recently organization has started showing some interest. Working culture is little difficulty as for IT system is controlled mostly by vendors rather than its own IT employees. Lot of processes are in place but still have lot issues in managing the work.

Dislikes

Processes are not very work friendly lot of managers but less on ground for actual work IT projects and support dominated by vendors and less control on internal IT employees work life balance is worst no proper guidance or support from management. Internal IT employees does not have much value and authorization. Just need to follow orders or support vendors in their work.
