Just had to share this, I got a 100% hike!
I'm keeping this anonymous because I don’t want to disclose it in real life. After two years without a raise, I successfully negotiated a 100% increase at my current company. I focused on creating significant value and worked in cross-functional teams to learn as much as possible. There were times when I was overworked, but it was all worthwhile. I was confident that it was a mutually beneficial situation. My advice would be to choose your job wisely, create value in the right place, and don't be afraid to negotiate.

Company culture is good. Philips legacy. Peer respect and on time salary

No career growth. Constant decline in sales leading to job cuts, variable pay cuts. Redundant skills. Terrible upper management, they simply protect their jobs as they are old age and can't survive outside the company.

The company is open to innovation and readily adopts latest technologies. I'm happy that i belong to team that develops firmware for the Philips hue lamps. Being graduate in network engineering I got to know about implementation of wireless network protocols.

Company is understaffed. One person is doing the job of around 2-2.5 people. Working on holidays and late nights is glorified by the managers and team leads. Zero work life balance. Saturday holiday is only on paper as you have to work.
