Career growth is very less. The pay is terrible as compared to market standards. Hike is less than 5 percent every year no matter how hard you work. Huge discrimination against female employees where they are given only maintenance and support kind work and latest architecture related stuff is only handled by male colleagues. You will become stagnant with zero learning. Also SAP labs mentions keeping employee satisfaction but they are literally forcing employees to come back to the office without their say. Hybrid model is just a hoax.

SAP is a dream company for those who would give preference to Work-life balance. Team and Company culture are the best of the class.

Dislikes

The opportunity to learn and be on the advanced tech is very less. Compensation is very less when compared to industry standards. That is actually valid because of the less influx of work employees would do.

Employee friendly environment, any person at any level is so approachable, awesome campus, job security, decent salary, you will get every facility what you can think off, free food, transportation, work life balance, speed of learning depends on the team you get to work, but you are going to learn a lot of stuffs.

It doesn’t work much on open source technologies.

Likes

The team at Pune works on core database products. It is one of the few places where you get core database internals development. The work life balance is awesome.

Dislikes

The compensation is poor compared to industry standards. There is a lot of politics in atleast Pune organisation and the favorites of the team management get the chance to grow. The growth is proportional to seniority not to the work done by the one. They dont like you leaving the organisation. The management puts "Not fit to be rehired" mark against you.

Likes

- Mostly you will get full variable pay - Campus is pretty good, well maintained, connected and food services are good - Overall company culture is good - Some experts/colleagues are good and genuine.

Dislikes

- Dont go for senior roles, - They dont pay much after you join, the Promotion and Salary Hikes are very difficult. - Only few teams that are priority to Senior Management get more visibility (and budget), others its regular work, even job cuts. - Lack of learning opportunities and too much of marketing and show-off while reality is not so great! - Getting a good manager is difficult - most of them care about themself, some behaves to the worst and added politics.
