Do not confuse between Samsung and Samsung R&D (the former will have better ratings/reviews on glassdoor/ambitionbox as it is purely sales/marketing/corporate/operations/manufacturing. The engineering is under Research (SRI-Bangalore/Noida) Brand Name Free and variety of good food Initial Hike while onboarding Top Management Job security Princely treatment for a month just before SCI(samsung culture index survey) which impacts line managers/leads If you stay here for 5y+ then be sure to retire here because no other company would hire you dumbs. Hence people completing 10/15/20 glorious years

...nt have any IT/Programming/People skills but surviving somehow with Excel/ppt 7. IIT/NIT recruits and Regulars have huge pay parity at same level. Even then IIT/NITians leave within 2-3yrs span bcz of declining growth. 8. Substandard development 9. Only focus on long approval/workflow security processes 10. Politics at its best 11. All achievements like best employers is for Samsung Research America/Canada dont be fooled thinking its India because they promote it that way.

Good Work-life balance, Great small-small perks like free lunch, transportation, Snacks, Communication Allowance etc, these helps in saving a lot of money. Every once in a year you get to go to South Korea.

Dislikes

...whole time on many days and that's another problem you have to sit for 8.30 Hrs. to mark attendance or complete the weekly time and shortfall you have to apply leaves or pay from salary. They recently started Hybrid Model but it also monitors your work time and even a small difference will get your name in mail from Attendance Team.

... the industry here it is lower. Lot of bias between IIT,NITs and other colleges. If you have IIT/NIT tag and working in same team then you get much lesser package, also not so good treatment.

Free food, free bus service, hybrid work policy after COVID, business travel opportunities.

Micromanagement, incompetent mid-level management, pay and benefits not competitive with other MNCs, more reporting than actual work, slow knowledge gain, too many approvals in processes.

... the only thing which one can like since the Managers don't want to go anywhere. Bonuses are great and Increment especially during Salary Normalisation. Free Transport and Free Lunch is what they lure you with

Atrocious Work Environment specially designed by the No. 1 Information Security Team. I was the part of this God Forsaken Team and the Senior Managers Daga Gogo and Teja fried and ate us alive. They don't have idea of the skill set you carry and only believe in Favouritism and Politics. They only want Girls (with legs wide open) and bootlickers who can say yes to their demands. No Skill development , No Learning, No dedicated domain for specialization you'll have to do everything including hammering Laptops before Scrapping and it doesn't matter if you are an L3 Engineer or Manager you still have to do it. All they want to do is save money especially the No. 1 Information Security Team(don't know for whom). Total disregard for life of employees or their family especially during the Pandemic. All they want to do is have Morning Meeting and TTT and laugh out. No WFH especially for people serving Notice Period.
