Safe Kids Foundation has a highly centralised and autocratic work environment. There are no defined system as the Director is the system.The Program Director is the only decision maker. As a Program Manager, I had very limited access to important information e.g. Program budget etc. Sarcasm and criticism have became the way of communication, with the managers more concerned about pleasing the Director, than supporting the field staff and addressing the outcomes. There is a environment of distrust among the field team and field staff is highly demotivated which affects their performance.
