A good government organization which fulfills the quality of construction of rural roads. The construction is fully based on IS codes and IRC standards. The department gives refresher trainings periodically on the relevant technical subjects.

In Kerala the department is giving a contract job so that the salary is very low as compared with work.

PMGSY work is a tender basis project and is takes time to get new tender with some months . We can't get work on regular basis but the project is good to accomplish if you are totally skilled in that's projects.

PMGSY is road conectivity progrsme spread all over India.It was launched in the year 2001.Under this programe road conectivity is given to the population that are unconected yet.The population served under this progame are mostly educationally and economically backward.The roads constructed under said programe are with rich specifications of Intenational standsrds So for my job of quality monitorig i for ongoing or completed road or bridge pronects is concerned,If is independent one.It involes conducting requsite tests in feild and sumitting the report both online as well as in hard copy form.Since the job is professional and transparient,It is enjoying.

The overall environment is not conducive.construction of roads in hills where migration is alarming is destroying ecology and in turn scaling process of heavy land slips .

This is not regular employment, rather,l was working under empanelment.
