I am going to be extremely honest in this Review. I worked here for 2.5 months & left the organisation during my probation period when they decided to Demote me and reduce my salary by 50% for reasons they couldn’t specify. My experience in this organisation was very toxic; I faced trauma & depression. Everyone in a managerial position lacks empathy. 1. Founder: Toxic, Micro-managing & has Anger Issues. She is a very good human being when you interact with her as a person, but she becomes extremely toxic & micro-managing when she's in charge. I still remember her yelling at me, full of anger, on a phone call on the 2nd working day itself, and she continued it until I left. It still haunts me when I remember the days I was working here. 2. Design Leads: Inexperienced, Micro-managing, Lack of Empathy & Unsupportive (not suitable for the Leadership position). The Leads in Pineapple are the typical Indian managers who don’t care about their team or colleagues, all they care about is the work & deadlines. What else can you expect when you have a Lead with overall just two years of working experience that too in the same organisation? 3. Candidate Evaluation: 0% Transparency & No Job Security. As I specified above, I had to leave the organisation because they Demoted me. They didn't specify the exact reasons and told me that "they don't feel I'm suitable for the position I'm currently holding". Didn’t give any specific reasons for why they felt that way. This was in 2022; I don't know how they operate now. But one thing to look for is they're kind of a Web Design Agency, the majority of their work is Visual Design and have no expertise in Product Design - so if you're the one who specialises in Product Design, this is not the right place for you.

Pineapple Studio has a young team of driven UX/UI designers & illustrators. Working with such a team challenges you to work harder and make your work better each day. The robust discussions and the constant back and forth of opinions makes it a delight. Every opinion counts here and you yourself feel like wanting to contribute your thoughts on the discussions. In terms of the company, there isn't a hierarchical structure. One day you could be directly working with the co-founders and the higher ups on a project and the other day you'd be talking to a big client all on your own. At Pineapple such opportunities are ample and they give you the potential to grow.

What i absolutely love about Pineapple UX/UI Studio is the kind of mentorship that i continue to receive from the team members. We are guided in every project rather than just being pushed against a deadline ! Also, seniors are always open to questions ! There are no team here at Pineapple, it's just 'one big' team and thats what matters to me.

They can do better in the working hours department.

Pineapple has groomed me as a professional UI/UX Designer. The mentors here have taught me growth-skills like communication, negotiation, UX research and other soft skills. very few companies offer such learning or client exposure and i get to do just that here.

I have to deal with some amount of work pressure and then there are fewer holidays

I worked in Pineapple from July 2019 to May 2021. The growth scope and the learnings were pretty awesome, to be fair. I would always have the teachings with me and my skills definitely went from 0 to 100 during the time I was here. I'm so much more confident in my skills and the value I bring after my job in Pineapple.

Dislikes

While the learnings were awesome, v they came through means no one hopes for. Super toxic mangement and culture, only being portrayed as fun loving on the social media. Beer bottles and bean bag chair does not equate to culture.
