New Job, Higher Pay, Now I’m Feeling Awkward
I’ve been at my new job for about six months now, and everything’s been going great! I’m getting positive feedback from my manager, and I get along well with the team. The thing is, when I started, my salary offer ended up being much higher than the initial number discussed during my interview. I didn’t negotiate and just accepted the offer. So, fast forward to happy hour with the team, and the topic of salary comes up. I, unfortunately, shared what I’m making, and let’s just say... it didn’t sit well with the others who have been on the team for years and make less than me. They weren’t mad at me, but now I’m feeling a bit uncomfortable and unsure how to handle this situation. Has anyone had something like this happen? How did you deal with it? Let’s chat!

It's a very good company, the Culture established in this company, you never imagine how beautiful it is, once you out from the Organization then only you feel the beauty. Work-Life balance is superb, it depends on your reporting manager. Job security is also good. You will learn the things like out of the box/department, everyone helpful if we need any information. You can directly talk to GM, CFO, and CEO. Note: The work location is Qatar.

For the past years in Petroserv limited management, security and work culture has been good during covid-19 lockdown. They should keep it up. Example was provision of health food and portable water.

Salary increment is very poor especially the Africans . 1 and half years working as a safety officer with nebosh and iosh certificates but not even 1 riyal has been added to my salary which very bad and also limit the confidence in me. Thanks and regards
