Nothing except the fact that they pay you on time

Middle level management is the problem because all of them in the middle level are egoistic, to become an IPU they have stopped trusting their employees, they fire people on the basis of favouritism, they fire who objects, they want the same zeal from you after working for them for 4 years with no promotion and one increment of 11 % in 4 years. Company with one of the highest attrition rates in industry and HR won't even call you if you resign and will relieve you and find your replacement. HR is nothing more than a puppet, they don't do anything about high attrition rates, demotivation among employees, no growth of senior employees. I am sure if they found about me writing all this here, second month, I will be out of the system and HR won't even call me. Taking a risk to write it here but I have to give it back to the society, to make this place a better place of work. When they hire, they talk about exit interviews, I have not seen a single person being called by HR about their resignation. Pathetic!

- No work-life balance. Leaving the office at 8:00 Pm is considered early. - No Job Security at all. You can be asked to leave any day anytime. - Things/Strategy/Vision change every day. Every morning there is a new direction, and new ops to follow. You will not be given time to do actually what you were hired for but other things. In fact, you won't get time to breathe, and soon you will lose motivation. - You are expected to drive everything, even the KRAs of your department. - Flattery and Asslicking - Your role and your KRA can be changed anytime without your consent. If you were hired for Marketing, then tomorrow you could be shifted to Supply Chain or another department, as per whims and fancies of the Management. - Please don't join just because they are giving you a good hike or perk. You can be laid off anytime. Do think about stability and peace of mind. Trust me, you won't get it there. Yes, you will learn a lot but at what cost ??

There was nothing to like during my time at pepperfry

...n on Friday leading to work on weekends.. Expected to work after working hours.. No reward or bonus for working overtime or festivals... No recognition for good performance.. Technology department is overlooked in comparison to other departments... 20% of CTC is taken as variable which is dependent on so called performance review which is predefined by the management for all employees based on dependency of the department rather than performance of employees.. Basically you cannot provide your own rating as a reporting manager..
