Welcome to the Packt, things start smoothly over here as you are in the training period it's your honeymoon period over here. As you get used to the work culture, you will be exploited totally on bases of promotion, to be precise then it's just 15% hike. You will find the best environment over here and flex timing, here most of the crowd is of youngster ranging from 22 to 26 for this role. If you looking ahead for studies this is the best place to work, as here you won't be able to develop your skills, as you will be working on the same task every day

...simpler by explaining most of the issues that are been faced by the executive: 1) Salary not up to the mark 2) If you get used to the surrounding it will be difficult to move on 3) It's a dating place, I'm serious you will find many instances as its full of enthusiastic and young people 4) If you move out of this role, It's quite difficult to find a job 5) Growth not up to the mark, until you get involved yourself in to dirty politics

The work culture is really good here. Especially during Covid, the management provided support to help staff with financial and any sort of help that could be required. The work from anywhere culture has really been an add on.

The amount of work and salary are not justified.

...ronment and culture. Teammates are supportive and the management is transparent. Company policies are good, appraisals are fair and they give good salary hike and bonus every year.

The overall culture of the company is good. Employees are helpful and the HRBP personnel do pay attention to employee problems. As a publishing firm, Packt is a good place to learn the nitty-gritties of the publishing and eLearning industry. Luckily, I was blessed with the best team and managers in the beginning. There are great learning opportunities if you are ready to take the ownership and show probable interest. Good place to learn stakeholder management and you get to learn to deal with stern authors.

...mployees. The second thing that is of high concern is the compensation offered. You might start with a decent salary, but keep in mind that there are high chances that you would be working on the same salary for the next 2-3 years. The company has no annual increment policy. You would only get a meager increment if and when you get promoted. Now, this leads to a third problem, where you cannot expect a promotion or even apply for one until you have completed 12 months in the organization. That too after 12 months, the actual promotion procedure completes in somewhat 6-10 months. So basically, you can expect yourself to be working on the basic compensation for at least 2 years. The company has no loyalty toward its employees. Your career might show an upward trajectory, but in terms of higher designation, growth, and compensation you will always be stagnant. Apart from this, there is a very strange policy of changing teams and designations, and every time you go through any of these changes you will have to face a probation period. This constant change brings you back to a place where you started from, waiting for 12 months again for a promotion or increment. As an organization, I will never recommend anyone to work here.
