...nly and top management is also aware of the same but still no one does anything. You have to put back 20-25% of your salary back in certain ways to retain your position and make grade for variable payout. The worst work culture I have ever seen in my entire career. You have to satisfy the state head’s ego to continue in the system. Companies like EMT and MMT has stopped recruiting people from OYO because the activities happen in OYO. OYO is not just a Company its a Mafia who loot Hoteliers and Play with the Career of their Own Employees

oyo room is not good services you can book room through oyo but never pay in advance bcz while you check in the owner do not give you the same room in low price as they already getting high demand by offline event.

...y to become your boss. Even the person who is just supposed to maintain Data. 3. If u want to survive in this company then u need to spent at-least 10k -15k from your own salary. Then also you will get fired from your job if u are not spending money for your boss this a big joke in this company. 4. Not only employee even though the customers ( Hotel Owner ) is not satisfied by OYO policy if u will visit in Western Mumbai side they will abuse you and will say get lost. 5. Even sometime when you will visit at the hotel and as soon as the owner identifies that you are from OYO they will not let you go also they will ask from you that Who is going to give their pending amount from OYO. 6. Your senior colleagues will do back-bitiching in front of your manager. 7. Full of politics. 8. Even you need to work on Sunday from home till 2pm. 9. They will even expect to do work which they never told you to do. 10. Also company has changed their office for 3 times because OYO has done fraud with hotel owners. 11. There is lot of deductions from hotel owner's wallet not even owner will get to know not even employee will get to know. There is no transparency while deductions. 12. If u are bringing and deal for the company also if u want any kind of exception there is no exception for juniors only senior employees can have that privilege. 13. You can't even take your company's name in market because of these scams how shameful is this for a employee.

Terrible and very toxic work culture. Layoffs are a quarterly thing. Work life balance is a big thumbs down. There is no personal life left after 6.5 days of a work week. Yeah, you have to work till 1pm on Sundays too.

Dislikes

Product team is filled with business folks who are puppets of business teams. Focus is on pleasing seniors instead of asking and doing right things. Incompetent managers across the board will just micromanage and on asking questions will say things like It’s above your pay grade. Oyo laid people for like 3 times. Product vision is not at all clear they just here to make money by rolling hotel owners and giving low standard services to customers. Too much politics among the teams for visibility. Unnecessary pressure for presenting in large groups w/o any need for that. Non sense processes like BRP etc where you present some random quarter plan and hardly adhere to it. You will learn how to navigate hierarchies, but not sure you will learn anything about product thinking, vision, strategy etc. Place is filled ex McKinsey and consultants who think they can do everything and all that they do is putting up slides PPTs without producing and real work. This place is for Yes men and who want to jeopardise their health, mental health, family time and job security. Worst place to ever work. Though you will find contrary reviews. Please mind you I left the org before layoffs happened in a matter of less than a year just because I don’t want to work at such superficial place, where you have to pretend to like the work, environment and incompetent managers.
