New Job, Higher Pay, Now I’m Feeling Awkward

I’ve been at my new job for about six months now, and everything’s been going great! I’m getting positive feedback from my manager, and I get along well with the team. The thing is, when I started, my salary offer ended up being much higher than the initial number discussed during my interview. I didn’t negotiate and just accepted the offer. So, fast forward to happy hour with the team, and the topic of salary comes up. I, unfortunately, shared what I’m making, and let’s just say... it didn’t sit well with the others who have been on the team for years and make less than me. They weren’t mad at me, but now I’m feeling a bit uncomfortable and unsure how to handle this situation. Has anyone had something like this happen? How did you deal with it? Let’s chat!

I don't like anything. This place will surely win the award for the worst companies to work at. For 10-15k they will suck the life out of you. The management enjoys at our expense. We have to work entire day without rest and still the management is not satisfied.

Dislikes

...om this place. You will thank me later. There is no leave policy of any kind, 1.5 day salary gets deducted. Late payment of salary. Half day salary cut for coming late. Full day salary cut for not updating work on whatsapp group. You will not receive any promotion or salary hike. The management here is not good.

It should have something that should be liked. Everything is horrible

Dislikes

A long long list. No appreciation, no perks, no benefits, no gratification. All they want is you to work day and night, no refreshments, no annual trips, no fun Fridays. If you resign make sure to serve notice period but they can fire you at any moment, no grace period provided. They are happy if you do overtime but when it comes to payment of overtime then they deduct the amount of your invested time.
