Working for Oxy Vinyls Tidal Rd was once a job you could enjoy. The plant has become ran by a group of “good old boys” meaning every shifty is a white male although many that were hired in the past two years were under qualified on paper but that never mattered. One in particular has made racist comments towards minorities ( in group settings) yet no one in the company has spoke up for the employee. Work & hiring policies are not upheld; due to frequent turnaround in office management if it were a bigger facility maybe they would have oversight HR is present intermitten years but with under qualified personnel.

Dislikes

Racist hiring practices, abusive and racist comments from direct supervisors on a daily work basis. Overtime policies change per shift and HR staff does not understand policies in regards to operations.

Its a great time to work with our department, who are all very highly skilled in technical knowledge in Oil field. This company provided me a good platform to gain a valuable knowledge on different programs. My collegues working with me are very friendly and helpful in terms of work nature, Here we can give our suggestions for technical query towards our superiors. I am very happy in working in this company.

Job security is main issue, due to nationalisation of employes.

I was having the privilege to work in Oman for 7 years. It was a nice team especially the Omanis around. They are very kind hearted people.

Salary appraisal is not that good as compared to the other company in the same field
