Nielseniq is such a good place to work, From here you learn so many things, Also Collegues and Seniors are very supportive for everyone.

Dislikes

Not specific, But I think they have to increase their salary budget for freshers level and also appraisal. Otherwise overall it's Excellent to work here.

Nielseniq has a very good work culture with a really good people to work with, your talent and efforts are always appreciated in this organization.

Dislikes

The pay policy is very bad and the salary is very less compared to the work, and sometimes there are long working hours to do quite often.

Likes

The work life balance is good as the pressure is usually low. The job security is also good. They are many leaves which one can avail here which most other organisations does not provide.

Dislikes

Salary - Management is very poor. They make sure we are paid the lowest and our salary doesn't increase at all. Also, the HR department does not even pay any heed to our referrals because if they take our referrals, they would have to pay us. Growth - Also, there is no growth in this organization as the department I am working has no specific heiarchy set. Switching roles - Switching between departments within NielsenIQ also does not happen. Learning - I did not feel there is a good curving curve here. They also restrict you to learn only the tools they have to work on which is very limited and if you want to get exposure in tools which are used in the market, you have to learn it up by yourself. Incentive - They also do not have any incentive system in place where one would get rewarded if they have outperformed others.

They hired me with a good salary, great hike from my previous salary. Interview process was challenging, multiple rounds, but I was given proper clarity and feedback each time - One of the main reasons I chose to join here despite holding multiple competing offers. Business & Financials wise company looks so stable and always growing.

Dislikes

I was hired for a particular 'Vertical' - which was clumsy as hell, no proper process for anything - CI/CD, Security vulnerability scanning, Deployment process, Quality gates, Testers, Performance testing, etc., - Everything is available for namesake, but nothing implemented properly. Leadership wants to drive success by setting target numbers, Senior Managers plan for unrealistic goals, finally putting pressure on Senior & Junior Engineers. They expect a Senior Engineer to lead a project / module - thus managing a few people (3-6), attend a hell lot of meetings, work with incompetent Release Management team, Respond to production issues or incidents ASAP round the clock, and work for 10 points in a Sprint as per Agile. Agile is huge laugh - since priorities change left & right, Ad-Hoc changes are pulled right in the middle of sprints, and end of PI - you will be bashed in reviews if you do not complete the planned items for the PI. So obviously, Work life balance goes for a toss.

...Low Appraisal even on promotion No extra bonus Insurance provider is not good Appraisal done in Jan but Salary Raise done in July to add extra pressure throughout the year.
