Good opportunity to learn multiple processes but one of the manager did not allow team members to learn the other processes.

When I'm working had an unpleasant experience working under a manager who not only micromanaged every aspect of my work but also made it increasingly difficult to take time off when needed. First, the micromanagement was overwhelming. Instead of empowering employees to manage their own tasks, my manager insisted on being involved in every minor detail. Simple decisions that could have been made independently were scrutinized, slowing down progress and reducing my sense of autonomy. This constant overbearing oversight made me feel like I wasn't trusted to do my job, which ultimately led to frustration and reduced job satisfaction. On top of that, the approval of leave requests was an ongoing issue. Whenever I needed time off for personal or health reasons, my requests were either denied or subjected to endless questioning. The lack of understanding and flexibility when it came to leaves created an uncomfortable work environment. It felt as though the company valued work output over employees' well-being, leading to feelings of burnout and resentment. In the end, working under such a manager made me feel unappreciated and undervalued. Micromanaging and denying legitimate requests for time off can significantly impact employee morale and productivity. Unfortunately, this experience has shown me the importance of leadership that trusts its team and respects personal time. This review from entire team members, who works under this type of manager.

Working with a micromanaging manager has been an incredibly challenging experience. Instead of fostering an environment of trust and collaboration, micromanagement breeds frustration and inefficiency. The constant need for control and oversight leads to a lack of autonomy, making it difficult to feel like a valued team member. In this type of environment, every small task requires approval, and no decision seems to be made without the manager’s input. This not only wastes valuable time but also undermines employees’ confidence and initiative. Instead of feeling empowered to take ownership of projects, you’re left feeling like you’re just following orders and never fully trusted to do your job well. The constant scrutiny leads to a high level of stress and anxiety, making it hard to stay motivated or inspired. It’s difficult to innovate or think creatively when you know that every step will be questioned. As a result, productivity often suffers, as energy is spent on justifying decisions instead of focusing on results. Overall, working under a micromanaging manager is demoralizing and counterproductive. It creates a stifling work environment where employees feel undervalued, leading to lower morale and potentially higher turnover rates. This management style not only hinders personal growth but also negatively impacts the team as a whole.

I worked under a manager who constantly emphasized punctuality and increasing work volume, but unfortunately, there was little focus on the quality of the work being produced. While meeting deadlines and completing tasks quickly were always prioritized, the manager often overlooked the importance of delivering high-quality results. This created a stressful environment where speed was valued over precision, leading to mistakes and rework. Despite the constant pressure to do more in less time, there was little recognition for producing work that met high standards or added real value. Ultimately, the focus on quantity over quality left me feeling unfulfilled and frustrated.
