New Job, Higher Pay, Now I’m Feeling Awkward

I’ve been at my new job for about six months now, and everything’s been going great! I’m getting positive feedback from my manager, and I get along well with the team. The thing is, when I started, my salary offer ended up being much higher than the initial number discussed during my interview. I didn’t negotiate and just accepted the offer. So, fast forward to happy hour with the team, and the topic of salary comes up. I, unfortunately, shared what I’m making, and let’s just say... it didn’t sit well with the others who have been on the team for years and make less than me. Our company was started on July 3rd, 2020. We've had our ups and downs, but we've come out stronger. We have a great team of 15-20 people who work hard with us. We're proud to have made it past our first three years, which is a big deal for a new company. Now, we're ready to keep growing and doing new things.

Dislikes

I have two concerns about this company. First, it still seems to be struggling with following a clear hierarchy, which can be unhealthy for a growing organization. However, I think this will improve over time. Second, based on my past experience, I believe that staff training and system development are crucial areas that need attention. But I'm confident that the company will focus on these areas as it continues to grow.
