The work at NIOT is primarily ocean technology/marine biotechnology. Unique and interesting, can learn many new aspects and have experience to go on cruise for scientific exploration. Work life balance is also pretty good.

...ject mode are purely temporary and the contract staff are treated very shabbily. Pay and perks are poor. After the completion of tenure no extension will be given. Hence, the stint in NIOT can be used only for gaining some experience.

You will get exposure to get working on national level project. Although, you learn and move on to other company. Valid for contractual staff.

...es for regular post. Finance department doesn't know anything about the finance. They always want to deduct salary from staff employees.

I feel very protected and safe in the NIOT campus. And also I gained more knowledge about ocean technology and I experienced many things . I explore myself in NIOT. That's why I like NIOT. I am happy to worked in NIOT.

If already in job then don't join , because you will regret the decision. Before my joining previously old contact or project staff served the organization for 5-10 years they have been thrown out without intimation Lot work robbery is there 50% new staff vacated in 3 months lot of pressure will be there Completely awful this is place where company need technical labour in operational departments to you have to do work other than field particularly Mechanical and civil In reaserch groups you may not have that much work but still it is not that great R&D WORK I have worked in one of operational wing I sailed 365 days but no satisfaction If you still want to join then join and find offer in 1yr and go out.
