No Salary Discussion in My Appraisal — What’s Your Experience?
In my appraisal meeting, they didn’t ask or discuss my expectations about my salary or hike percentage. The entire discussion was only about feedback and performance review. After the meeting, I asked why they didn’t allow me to share my expectations or reveal my hike numbers. They told me that the hike numbers would be decided only by the owner and then they would inform me. I feel an appraisal meeting should include open discussion about both performance and future expectations. What are your thoughts? Does this happen in your company too?

Likes

It requires more professional injection through good OD measures, investment in HR, stringent training programmes, long term goals, strong business HR partnerships, and excellent business development programme will make a difference. Organisation adopt latest technology as to update every time. It is in the expansion mode as opening hospitals in other cities.

Dislikes

Compensation is not at par with. Career growth may not be coupled with compensation addition. Work load is there, but never an issue. Suggestions and advises are accepted and do have great consideration. But, long term career goal is not feasible with the organisation.
