Mostly nothing was good

Dislikes

...is questioned so rudely. Career growth, facilities etc are not at all there. In the name of e-shares salary and salary increment is decided and trust me these e-shares are not considered by any other employer as salary for your next offer. Most importantly PF or any other type of Indian Govt schemes are not available and they won't be disclosed until you receive an offer letter.

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?
