No Salary Discussion in My Appraisal — What’s Your Experience?
In my appraisal meeting, they didn’t ask or discuss my expectations about my salary or hike percentage. The entire discussion was only about feedback and performance review. After the meeting, I asked why they didn’t allow me to share my expectations or reveal my hike numbers. They told me that the hike numbers would be decided only by the owner and then they would inform me. I feel an appraisal meeting should include open discussion about both performance and future expectations. What are your thoughts? Does this happen in your company too?

The work is pretty easy and they don't have high expectations

Dislikes

There is no progression and no salary increase, as a contractor you are at the mercy of the hours that the management will give you. If they have the option of either giving you more hours so that you can make a living or hiring more people so that everyone works about 10 hours a week, they will do the latter. This way they can charge more money from their clients but they don't care if you make enough to actually survive.

can't go lower than that. Nothing is likeable except scheduling your own hours and some co workers.

Dislikes

The management and company culture. I got laughed at because I am jewish, this is unacceptable. They HATE JEWISH people. Also when someone mentioned my connection to Sheikh Rashid Humaid, they first laughed at him then wanted to get me in touch with him?! My phone number basically leaked to their people and they started messaging me off working platform. Modsquad is in war with jewish and Middle East laughing at Sheikh (embarassing company)
