...e to its brand equity and extensive travel but leaves one with a hollow feeling. Compensation offered is still acceptable. Less work pressure.

There are many negatives. Company's focus on business is not clear. Not many projects without which Office politics is at its peak. Nobody's bothered to work except talk. Basic competency is questionable. People who have stayed for more than two decades here just can't accept change and brag about old projects. Wonder how many years one can sing a song of yesteryear's achievement. Everyone's doing everything and achieve nothing that's how things are. People just like to talk about others possibly because no one has that much of work. Nobody from outside world believe the fact that Japanese management does ignores genuine employee and likes the company of people who whisper(blabbing mouth) instead of talking.

Nothing was good to be liked as far as Mitsubishi's India operation is concerned. Best part was the dynamic role I was offered i.e. got to work in various verticals(thanks to Mitsubishi's brand and omnipresence) and office timings which was helpful for managing work-life balance.

The saying 'Grass is greener' aptly applies here. One can't imagine bad things about Mitsubishi Corporation unless he/she joins it. Office environment was contagious, company's management has a gender bias(particularly the senior most Indian), off course then politics can't be ignored, the word 'team' is what would be last to describe the colleagues. All of that is because of no project/work(can't imagine that almost all of the employees were busy preparing itinerary whenever personnel from Tokyo Head office used to visit) and thus back biting was prevalent. Was promised to take care Eastern region operations before joining but just within an year heard that that office was being closed. Additionally, role given to work along two of my colleagues on an upcoming metro project which to my unamusement was lost(already two were more than required with the kind of workload they had). A perspective is what which was missing in decisions and actions of the management. Now situation is so bad that people having more than 3 decades of Mitsubishi's experience left it after I left and more are leaving in next couple of months. Show-off is exhorbitant and unfocused approach, MGMT focus rather on unproductive work mostly. And lot many not written here....

Politics, mid-level stagnation is normal in every company, but Mitsubishi trading is extremely good company to work for. I would love to work here again.

Since its a trading organization, so engineers may find it tough to adjust, as recognition is more for people who are good at international trade & law.
