OPD is open 24/7 even one doctor is available, instability anytime you may go for deputation, late salary transfer, poor management, refund mentioned in the contract not transferred, ineffective medical insurance, very bad quality of life, very bad health service and not equipped, unprofessional behavior, tiring transportation, vacation is not allowed except after completion of one year, religious and racial discrimination.

Work culture, no appreciation, no professional growth, lack of respect, discrimination against different religions, unqualified and corrupt management staff, less working hours for locals and more for expatriates

You get paid on time. As a specialist you get decent respect.

Dislikes

Isolation and lonliness creeps in you if you have not taken your family with you. Differint hospitals have slightly differing OPD hours which may or may not be at your advantage. Fresh vegetables and fruits are costly and at times not easily available. A little hard time for non vegeterians i would say.

Potential positives include job stability, opportunities to impact public health, government benefits, career development, and the chance to serve communities, especially in remote areas.

Challenges include resource shortages, remote deployments, and slow career growth.

I was working in addu city . Seenu Feydhoo health center. Team work was very good and the people where very friendly health center was a second home for me ... If I am planning to work again in Maldives I want to go back to my health center .seenu Feydhoo ..

Career growth is less ..most of the time expatriates are not getting opportunity to attend workshops and classes
