Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

Work satisfaction. No questions asked about leaves. Agile workflows and decision making.

Dislikes

Sudden layoffs. New management cares only about bottom line. Lower appraisal percentages and bonus since change in management

You can choose from WFH, Hybrid and WFO. Can easily approach to management for any query or concerns. Good policies in all aspects. So many wellness holidays in year.

Dislikes

Salary is not as aggressive as in current market. Legacy product hence very less opportunity work on new edge tech. Lot of dependency on US side folks for all small decisions to make.

Competitive salary. Well established processes. Well known name in wellness industry because of which company enjoys the momentum.

Dislikes

Center in India was seen as merely an execution centre. Engineering leadership didn't have any strategic foresight.

Company Technology stack being used currently is much updated and automated and there is lot of scope for automation and best thing is flexible work policy as per employee choice and free lunch when you are in office, just ask the staff to get your delicious lunch from your favourite cafe/restaurant/ hotel.

Dislikes

Company will give you lot of holiday benefits and leave and when it is consumed, it will affect your overall performance.
