Microsoft is a very inclusive company, everyone is treated with equal respect in most cases. My profile of working as a part of a partner is never seen that way by Microsoft employees. All questions are addressed and equal value is given at all times. All efforts are appreciated and sometimes celebrated.

Dislikes

Very little, the only noticeable down point is the cost cutting. They expect the employees to improve performances while restructuring the payment system to reduce the compensation.

...star hotel. Everyone talks to very politely and are readily available for help. Nice office, free food, free transport etc Good Salary

Hell lot of internal politics and favouritism Lay offs Poor management- no budget for recognition functions- they do it with lot of internal struggles Internal movement is a big struggle No on-site opportunities Micromanaging managers in the name of reports and employees survey

Higher than market compensation in India except for AWS and Google. Flexibility to work from home.

...larity of way forward. No appraisals in spite of WORLD RECORD BREAKING PROFITS. Just blind cost cutting everywhere without thinking of impact.

Nothing that I can recall of. It's typical organization looking for people who say yes to management . Just say yes to ur manager.

It's depend on ur manager. Stay cautious with manager before disclosing anything. The Manager I got was pathetic.. He did fun of ur health issues in one to one conversation. They lack empathy. Always record ur conversation with manager or technical lead to save urself in future. Old days culture of Microsoft gone.. This is just like any other organizations u ever worked with. All depend on manager and his perspective on u.
