I am working since 7yrs in Mastercard The company policies, work culture are good. You can easily do internal job change and career movement. Overa it's good experience.

Dislikes

Salary hike is not enough as compared with other companies.

1. Global exposure, Teams are distributed so will get to know about the talents across world how they are handling the same issue in efficient way. 2. Certifications cost upto $5000 are paid by company. But the condition is you will have to pass. Specially helps when you are thinking of SANS certs. 3. Medical insurance is very good which covers vision and dental as well which you will hardly see in other companies. 4. If you are married, lot of perks to enjoy like paternity and maternity. For bachelors like me there is hardly. To enjoy, you will have to make kids. 5. NPS contribution is over and above CTC which you will hardly see in other companies. 6. Graduity and medical are companies benefit, it will not be your part of CTC. 7. Companies works on ethics and compliance which is really appreciating. 9. No shift work culture, Which is good. 8. If your women, Mastercard is for you. Mastercard gives good opportunity to ladies both in terms of selection and promotion.

Dislikes

... hand. Perks are ok but should not be primary criteria to choose any company. 6. If management guy reading this post, please Revise the salary structure to avoid loose talents.

Job security was best a year back but the company has started to go for third party vendors to get job done so it has reduced number of employees being hired on company payroll drastically. It has best facilities in terms of no of leaves ,maternity leaves, paternity leaves,medical insurance , term insurance , travel insurance policies. Work life balance depends on a project that you are working. Work from home facilities available with prior manager approvals.

...ducts which could help Freshers or new joiners to learn product domain faster. Salary: Salary for new joiners is on the basis of the position they are applying for. They have certain salary band for each position. you may be given low/mid/high depending your current CTC. Appraisal:They are following a stack ranking for comparing performance of same position ed individuals in a team. Percentage of appraisal varies from max 15% to 0% , 0% for 4 rated individuals whrere 1 rating means exceeds expectations and 4 being partially met. Have seen lot of politics and favourism being done by managers.Overall I would say it's a good company for new joiners. In this company your position is everything in terms of your CTC.

brand name; good salary- pays well above market (that locks in employees basically); job security; exceptional parental leave policy (both maternal and paternal); best in class health insurance (have not seen this anywhere); 20 days work from anywhere policy (can work from anywhere in the world); generally empathetic culture where people acknowledge you have a life and family and allow exceptions without the guilt trip

Dislikes

very little opportunity to create impact at scale as this company is a behemoth- policy, culture, systems- everything contributes to the general lethargy; products dont have great India market fit as Indian market has changed rapidly before Mastercard caught up (possibly cannot catch up)- this demotivates team a lot

Politically driven BFC in Gurgaon where couple of directors are driving a culture of favouritism and who would like to throw team members under the bus rather than owing to their own mistakes.
