New Job, Higher Pay, Now I’m Feeling Awkward

I’ve been at my new job for about six months now, and everything’s been going great! I’m getting positive feedback from my manager, and I get along well with the team. The thing is, when I started, my salary offer ended up being much higher than the initial number discussed during my interview. I didn’t negotiate and just accepted the offer. So, fast forward to happy hour with the team, and the topic of salary comes up. I, unfortunately, shared what I’m making, and let’s just say... it didn’t sit well with the others who have been on the team for years and make less than me. Good work environment and culture. Management is transparent, very supportive also in pandemic situation. Colleagues are supportive too. Working environment is lively. Carriar growth is good. Company policies are good, appraisals are fair.

Being a fresher an individual gain a bundle of knowledge. Maruti hydraulics is lead by a young, dynamic and visionary director with a renowned name in Indian market. Work floor is quite friendly where everyone has each others back covered and a helping hand when ever needed.

Dislikes

No job security as such. Any one can be kicked out without prior notice with the current financial situations. The intensity of the pressure for work, job security, lead time mounts on you every day. With weekly off only on Saturday, the working hours are always extended which hampers the work-life balance.
