New Job, Higher Pay, Now I’m Feeling Awkward

I’ve been at my new job for about six months now, and everything’s been going great! I’m getting positive feedback from my manager, and I get along well with the team. The thing is, when I started, my salary offer ended up being much higher than the initial number discussed during my interview. I didn’t negotiate and just accepted the offer. So, fast forward to happy hour with the team, and the topic of salary comes up. I, unfortunately, shared what I’m making, and let’s just say... it didn’t sit well with the others who have been on the team for years and make less than me. The company is open to innovation and readily adapts latest technology. I love the fact that I am a part of a team that markets reliable, high quality products and has a global clients base. As a result L get to travel abroad, especially to the US and Canada. But on site travel is completely dependent on your project and client's location. Mine is a US based client and they have some offices in Toronto, hence I got a A1 visa quickly.

The politics by the management is immense Higher level and the unit head presently is the big gamer and not a stable person on his decisions Frequently change of decision and the workers are also continue on strike and this environment is making plant to shutdown frequently.
