No Salary Discussion in My Appraisal — What’s Your Experience?
In my appraisal meeting, they didn’t ask or discuss my expectations about my salary or hike percentage. The entire discussion was only about feedback and performance review. After the meeting, I asked why they didn’t allow me to share my expectations or reveal my hike numbers. They told me that the hike numbers would be decided only by the owner and then they would inform me. I feel an appraisal meeting should include open discussion about both performance and future expectations. What are your thoughts? Does this happen in your company too?

This is an orthodox company and having such a toxic environment. If you are joining in MPS then you have to forget about your life and family, they will force you to work for more than 12 hours in a day and if you don't, they will destroy your working environment and make it toxic to either resign or commit suicide. Huh...

Dislikes

Poor management, unresponsive HR, orthodox culture, less salary, no canteen, useless and rude managers, no extra activities and motivational works, no appreciation and no appraisal. Everything is useless here.

Company's central management can be good but state management of MP is very poor. Single handed decision-making process with zero maturity makes MP working environment unbreathable. Too much politics. No command of central management at all. No any employee can speak with freedom and they can't do anything with their experiences knowledge and passion. Overall Bad experience for MP Management.

... Bangalore... in there your bosses never appreciate a change in your creativity. They promise good package on particular dates but being an employee you don't get your full salary on time. They reduce the package and keep postponing. Freshers don't receive incentives as the seniors distribute among themselves. Their PF contribution is completely unfair as they collect twice the amount from employee as a contribution. I worked in Magazine Department and left the company because HR nor the management was ready to give the compensation for uninformed deduction.

They loot the money you and reputation earned after hardworking. Distributes these only to seniors with 20+ yrs of experience who will be busy watching movie.
