New Job, Higher Pay, Now I’m Feeling Awkward

I’ve been at my new job for about six months now, and everything’s been going great! I’m getting positive feedback from my manager, and I get along well with the team. The thing is, when I started, my salary offer ended up being much higher than the initial number discussed during my interview. I didn’t negotiate and just accepted the offer. So, fast forward to happy hour with the team, and the topic of salary comes up. I, unfortunately, shared what I’m making, and let’s just say... it didn’t sit well with the others who have been on the team for years and make less than me. Work-life balance - Good

Dislikes

The company was good to work on earlier with plenty of orders and decent pay. But the influx of AI tools like ChatGPT has negatively impacted the workflow very much. The company's client rating system and revision penalties have now become harsher. There are not enough orders during low season and the income can be extremely low during that time.

you can occasionally learn new random stuff while working hard on someone other's homework

Dislikes

Fines for every possible reason. No assistance from the staff. You write a nice essay after thorough research and then they deprive you of your payment and make you do "a revision" for free because of false formatting or because the client changed the task.

Nothing to like about the company

It's by far the worst working platform ever, with the quality management suggesting additional instructions that weren't given upfront. The company always grabs funds from freelancers by making up fines-they can fine you until your whole balance is finished up and all the fines are fake; they're just meant to steel funds from freelancers
