seems to me that: -there is no career progression since it's a family business; you can barely move up the ranks. -there is a considerable gap between employees and management (management appears to be unclear of EXACT task flow, out of touch) -the company culture & values are questionable (strongly advocate work-life balance yet overload employees, thus OT-ed almost every day just to finish up) -unrealistic expectations; expects a 2-weeks old newcomer (i.e. me) to pick up a new task (moderately challenging) within 30 minutes AND clear the backlogs PLUS the current logs ALL in ONE DAY & this was just one of them. (I experienced this MULTIPLE times despite constant feedback; felt like communication was futile) -lack of team synergy; blame game & piggybacks -lack of vision, initiative, presence & direction; supposed leader failed to demonstrate ownership and responsibility, and failed to pace the team & newcomers. The above experience is limited to me; it is not definitive, predictive, or absolute. It appears that the company is in the midst of redefining itself as it attempts to break free from the "typical Chinese family business" stigma so...yep.

The company provides a conducive and safe environment for everyone to learn and work at. Without any prior experiences, I’m grateful that I get to be exposed to both accounts receivables and payables side, which will be helpful for anyone who wish to enter into the accounts industry. We worked as a great team and often provided assistance to one another. Besides, I also get to learn how to make use of XERO accounting software in completing daily tasks, which is heavily used by other companies nowadays.

Overall is a great working experience. 😊
