No Salary Discussion in My Appraisal — What’s Your Experience?
In my appraisal meeting, they didn’t ask or discuss my expectations about my salary or hike percentage. The entire discussion was only about feedback and performance review. After the meeting, I asked why they didn’t allow me to share my expectations or reveal my hike numbers. They told me that the hike numbers would be decided only by the owner and then they would inform me. I feel an appraisal meeting should include open discussion about both performance and future expectations. What are your thoughts? Does this happen in your company too?

Absence of Market Reaserch. Most of the products are Low Technology and Low investment category and marketing is based on Cheapest available in Market Theam. Service team is not dedicated. Service back up comes from Other Product line personnel, this creates priority and product knowledge deficit. In present product line there are some nish speciality products which can establish Co. as only inthe field for that application. Also Price decision will be in companies prerogative.

Dislikes

Cost cutting methods are extra work hours and menial work. Product handling is very poor, lot of damages occur and lead to warranty repairs later. Actually this reduces Reliability of Products and dents Brand image. Siple material handling and loading equipment will achieve efficient product handling and less man hour requirement. Data analysis should be basis of improvements in infrastructure and facilities. Competition products be available for Comparison and understanding of level of technology used. Pay scales and grades to be defined and implemented.
