Biased rating and promotion system, too much disparity in salary because of bell curve ratings. Forget about work life balance, you will be treated as a machine. Poor and semi government bureaucratic culture.

One of the biggest names in the country in epc sector.

Dislikes

Worst salary structure in the industry. They keep a part of your ctc as Retention Payment which is to be paid every year when you complete a year with them. For example, out 15 lac ctc, 2.4 lacs will be paid at the end of the year. Above that 60% of your salary is variable. Lowest basic payment in industry. All benefit payments will be included in ctc, like all reimbursement s. Most improper and opaque appraisal system. If you are a lateral and you do not know how to butter, then forget about your growth, promotion etc. Would have liked to write so much more.....in short, guys plz keep it as a last option....

... same boss over many years gets Major responsibility even if he deserves or not. Same person is every time rated outstanding and his salary continuously increases. Average vital performer gets increment at 2-3 % , top performer 4-5 % and outstanding performer 15-20%. All outstanding performers are already identified at early stage. They are people who actually stay till retirement. From last six months iteration rate have increased to very high level as employees have started looking for opportunity in Gujrat itself with companies like Adani, Airproducts, worley and tecnip. Until now they were having Monopoly in Vadodara but now with better work culture and increments. Employees are being hired by other companies. Have u Heard that overall CTC is reduced if you don't get gud Ratings in company. Yes this is true with Larsen Toubro Energy Hydrocarbon were salaries get reduced if u don't get gud Ratings and that is true coz old employees are already identified as outstanding performers. If you think of joining this company as lateral enterant use it as just stepping stone for joining another company. Also this company procedures. Imagine women complaining of harassment by top manager but no action coz all departmental HR also has to maintain gud relations with them. Most of work is done in Silos. Most of higher management has left company citing differences with management. If u don't say anything or react then u can easily stay here for long term with average increment of 3-4%.

HR handicap for most employee concerns. Bad Salary structure, poor increments and Manager are not open for suggestion and for discussion. High work pressure with lowest remuneration and no work life balance.
